Yalwa:
Most of you might know what Yalwa is but for people who don’t know what Yalwa is please let me tell you when and how Yalwa operates.
What is Yalwa? Yalwa is a major event that occurs before the wedding where the bride gathers with her family and friends to celebrate.
How it’s done? The bride’s family and friends surround her while holding a green piece of fabric and singing Ameena fe Amaneeha which is a traditional song sung especially for this occasion.

“Ameena fe Amaneeha”

Where weddings were held in:
The only place where weddings were held was the bride’s house backyard.
